The ACA Tennis Courts are for the exclusive use of residents of the Ashford Community, houseguests and close relatives (parents, children, children-in-law and grandchildren) of residents. The Courts are also open to guests playing with any of the above.
The Courts are for tennis only and may not be used for any other purpose. Roller skates, skateboards, scooters, bicycles, basketballs, etc. are strictly prohibited.
No pets are allowed on the Courts
Players are limited to one hour on the Courts, if others are waiting to play. This applies at all times to players of all ages.
It is the responsibility of every person using the Courts to ensure that his/her play area is left neat after the conclusion of play. This includes discarding of any trash (even unwanted tennis balls) in the waste receptacles outside the gates. Thus, when players finish using a Court, they need to make it ready for the next group of players.
The last person to leave the Courts should ensure that squeegees are hung on the fence, all garbage has been disposed of in the waste receptacles outside the gates, and all gates are closed (locked).
Group tennis lessons (two or more students) are permitted at any time. However, the Group may not occupy more than two courts at a time, unless no one is waiting to play, and every person that is part of the Group must abide by all the Rules described herein.
Any exception to these rules must be cleared through the ACA Board of Directors. Specifically, if a Group wishes to use more than two Courts at one time, e.g. for a tournament, it must obtain permission from the ACA Board of Directors at least two weeks prior to the event, and it must ensure that the schedule for that activity is published on the ACA website and on the billboard outside the Tennis Courts.
